Description

Raphael Caram is an artist driven by passion. He was introduced to graphic arts in his youth when he began his professional life at Jornal de Ribeirão, a publication of the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP-SP). There, amidst the noise of linotypes, he became captivated by the process of creation and production. Over time, he followed the transition to offset machinery, embracing each technological change with enthusiasm and delving into all the details of graphic processes.

He studied Fine Arts and Visual Arts at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), the city he chose as his home. Caram sees art as a force that drives him to constantly seek more. Currently studying Psychoanalysis, he expands his understanding of human nuances, applying this sensitivity to his artistic production. His curiosity and desire for innovation led him to conduct research on new graphic interfaces with greater usability through FAPEMIG (Minas Gerais Research Support Foundation).

More than just a consultant and designer, Caram is a creator committed to each project, seeing every detail as an opportunity to explore new aesthetic dimensions. His work, marked by creative restlessness, reflects a life dedicated to constant improvement and the pursuit of forms of expression that deeply resonate with people.

The toucan is an iconic tropical bird, known for its vibrant colors and long, curved bill. In Brazil, several species of toucans can be found in different habitats, including the cerrado, a characteristic tropical savanna of Central South America.

  1. Identification: Toucans are easily recognizable by their colorful plumage, typically dominated by shades of yellow, orange, green, and black. Their bills are long and curved, often displaying vivid colors. The tail is short and square, and many species have a large and conspicuous bill.

  2. Habitat: In the cerrado, toucans can be found in areas of denser vegetation, such as riparian forests, forest edges, and gallery forests. They rely on these habitats to find fruits, insects, and other essential foods for their survival.

  3. Diet: The diet of toucans is predominantly frugivorous, meaning they primarily feed on fruits. However, they may also consume insects, small vertebrates, and even eggs of other birds. Their curved and serrated bill is adapted for grasping and manipulating fruits and other food items.

  4. Behavior: Toucans are often seen in flocks, especially during the breeding and feeding season. They are quite vocal birds, and their distinctive calls are frequently heard in cerrado forests. During the nesting season, they build nests in tree cavities or holes excavated by other birds or mammals.

  5. Ecological Importance: As seed dispersers, toucans play an important role in maintaining biodiversity in the tropical forests of the cerrado. By feeding on fruits and then depositing the seeds in other areas through their droppings, they contribute to the forest regeneration process.

Toucans are a vibrant and essential part of the Brazilian cerrado ecosystem, adding color and life to natural landscapes and playing a crucial role in the health and maintenance of these habitats.
